Parent & Toddler Age 6mths - 2 yrs

An accompanied class intended to introduce swimming to the child for the first time. With the emphasis on fun this class uses songs and nursery ryhmes to develope confidence in the water.
Aims : To allow child to get face wet without concern and to start to use floatation aids.

Parent & Toddler Non Swimmer 2 - 3yrs
An Accompanied class intended for those children that are a little older and who have been in the water before.
Aim: To build up the childs confidence with the use of woggles and floats
Objectives: To be able to use woggles and floats without parents help, therefore able to progess to the Non Swimmer Class or Beginner class depending on ability.

Non Swimmer Age 3
 Unable to swim without the use of aids, unable to put face in water and is not confident.
Aims: To develope confidence in the water whilst having fun and to introduce swimming without aids.
Objectives : Kicking with face/ears in water with two floats for 5 m and trying with one.

Beginner 1 Age 3
Has confidence in the water and is happy to swim with 2 floats for at least 5m. Introduction of breaststroke
Aims: To develope further confidence in the water and learning to swim without aids.
Objectives: Kicking with face/ears in water with one float for 5m and trying to achieve a few strokes without the use of aids.
ASA National Plan Stage One awarded in this class
Beginner 2 Age 4
Confident in the water and is having a go and achieving a few strokes without the use of aids.
Aims: To develope confidence and to start to improve stroke technique and add the use of arms into swimming.
Objectives : To be able to kick on front and back and having a go with arms for 5m - 10m.
ASA National Plan 2 awarded in this class
Beginner 3 Age 5
Able to kick on front and back and having a go with arms for 10m.
Aims : To develope stoke technique and introduce dolphin leg kick and breathing.
Objectives: Swimming without the use of aids for 25m using arms and legs, and able to swim breaststoke.
ASA National Plan Stage 3 awarded in this class
Improver Age 5

Able to swim for 10m with basic technique for all strokes.(Butter fly leg kick only)
Aims: To carry on developing stroke technique and really concentrate on breathing for all strokes
Objectives: To swim front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke for 25m with basic to good technique and 10m Butterfly leg kick.
ASA National Plan Stage 4 awarded in this class
Improver 1 Age 6
Able to swim for 15m on front and back with ASA recognised stroke technique.
Aims: Delevoping on all strokes including butterfly and practice more in deep water.
Objectives: To swim for 25m with good stroke technique and breathing for front crawl, back crawl and breast stroke and 10m Butterfly.
ASA National Plan Stage 5 Awarded in this class
Improver 2 Aged 7
Able to swim with good stoke technique with breathing for 50m and able to swim butterfly. Confident in deep water.
Aims: To keep developing the stroke technique on all stokes introducing more water skills.
Objectives : To aim for more distance and speed. To gain experience in basic diving and water safety. Life saving and Diving badges can be obtained in this class.
ASA National Plan Stage 6 awarded in this class.
Advanced
Able to swim 100m - 200m with good strokes and techniques.
Aims: Competive Starts and turns will be taught during this class with the aim to be able to move into our Swim club programme or to join a swimming club.
ASA NAtional Plan Stage 7 awarded in this class.
We also teach in our advanced classes Water Polo, Lifeguarding, Diving,syncronized swimming as well as competitive swimming. Your children and you will get to chose what you may like to do at the end of the term for the next term.
